ABOUT THE ROLE

The Sales Assistant will be responsible for supporting our sales team and will be a key contributor to our sales team's success. This role will require overseeing scheduling and preparing our sales team for important meetings and trade shows. The Sales Assistant will be expected to lead from the front by being the pacesetter for the sales team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Sales Assistant will primarily be responsible for the following:

  • Assist the sales team by fielding incoming clients through emails and over the phone.
  • Ensure personal goals are hit every month.
  • Produce high-quality quotes for potential clients.
  • Collaborate with sales management to develop effective sales strategies and solidify targets.
  • Assist in creating sales material for sales preparation and success.
  • Coordinate scheduling with clients and sales team members.
  • Lead client correspondence, coordinate delivery/pickup details, and handle customer inquiries and issues.
  • Maintain excellent customer service and communication skills by following up with clients and paying high attention to detail.
  • Respond to event and order inquiries in a timely manner to secure the business.
  • Perform specific tasks assigned by the manager.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Communicate order complexities effectively to affected departments.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be able to work occasionally on the weekends.
  • Ability to sit for several hours a day.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to learn fast and is eager to increase knowledge of sales and the events industry.
  • At least 2 years of experience in inbound or outbound sales required.
  • Familiarity with closing sales required.
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in Business preferred.
  • Events industry experience preferred.
  • Warehouse/inventory experience preferred.
  • Ability to build rapport with colleagues.
  • Strong sense of customer service.
  • Self-motivation and remaining positive.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management, customer relations, prioritization, and organization skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
